C2C Unveils Enhanced Email Archiving Solution
Latest version of ArchiveOne supports Windows Vista, Exchange 2007; provides enhanced PST management and pre-defined archiving templates
C2C, a leading supplier of enterprise email archiving software, today announced another industry first. The company’s latest version of its award-winning ArchiveOne solution, which helps organizations comply with industry regulations and minimize mailbox size, now fully supports Exchange 2007 and Windows Vista.
Email administrators can be confident that the new ArchiveOne works with Exchange 2007, allowing them to upgrade to the new platform without constraints. Specifically, ArchiveOne is able to distinguish Unified Messaging items – a new feature of Exchange 2007 – and archive them.
A major feature of this new release is the total Personal Storage files (PSTs) management now offered by C2C, empowering administrators to control and contain existing PSTs, and to plan and schedule their removal.

“PSTs still cause significant pain for administrators,” according to Dave Hunt, CEO at C2C. “Our new PST management console allows the administrator to select which PSTs to process, when to do so, in what order and to schedule the archiving without overloading other system resources.”
“Although PST processing is most likely to involve archiving all data, an administrator can just search email content, report on size statistics, or even transfer email back to the server without archiving. Providing such a wide range of options makes ArchiveOne the most advanced PST archive management application on the market today. Administrators can now control the way the company processes its PST data today and well into the future.”
Another addition to ArchiveOne lauded by customers is the new pre-set archive templates. “We have seen some organizations take a very long time to agree on their internal email archiving strategies, so we added pre-set archiving policies to ArchiveOne to give them choices, such as what to archive, when to archive and how long to keep the data. These are examples of real world archiving implementations.
