Archive One for SharePoint offers the benefits of removing and archiving SharePoint data to reduce cost, improve performance, optimize capacity usage, and improve backup windows on primary storage devices. The new Archive One edition can be installed as another application connector alongside email and file archiving solutions provided by C2C. The data can all be stored in a single repository, or be separated by recognition of the data type, or organizing data by logical departmental units (such as finance or human resources) each with its own repository regardless of the type of data.
Information retention management features enable customers to apply consistent data management across their organization. It can be used to put items on hold, apply tags (notes) to them, and cross reference many litigation issues, which, in today’s litigious age, enables legal or compliance officers to manage the vast amount of data held in conjunction with cases.
